STBs to work as gaming consoles with 3DiJoy's motion-sensing tech

The leading set-top-box (STB) chipmaker Broadcom has announced support for motion-sensing video game technology from 3DiJoy Technologies that transforms STBs into a gaming system/consoles.

The Broadcom BCM7231 IP STB system-on-a-chip (SoC) solution integrates an optimized Bluetooth gaming stack to power the gestural remote for use with 3DiJoy's motion-sensing video game technology. 3DiJoy offers turnkey solution for embedded motion-sensing video game products.

This innovative STB solution using BCM7231 with 3DiJoy motion-sensing support will be demonstrated at two important industry events this week: China Content Broadcasting Network (CCBN) Exhibition (booth #3501 - China International Exhibition Center, Beijing) and IP&TV World Forum (meeting room #2 - Olympia National Hall, London).
