Processor design driven by style and slim
looks of mobile computers
It's not just GHz, MIPS, Watts and Giga Bytes, now the
netbooks, notebooks and tablets are also sold based on stylish
and slim looks. Mobile computers are getting thinner of
not exceeding 0.8 Inch and lighter to just 1 to 2 pounds.
To be in trend with this Intel has made available a new
Intel Core Processor manufactured using its 32 nanometers
process supporting thin notebook design. Intel says these
32nm chips deliver 32 percent slimmer laptops and more than
32 percent better performance, highlighting the magic number
'32'.
When the semiconductor technology moves to 32nm lot more
chips on motherboard sink into the processor chip itself,
mainly the HD graphic processor. Intel has done this in
its 32nm processors namely Core i7, Core i5 and Core i3
processors.
The recently announced Mobile Intel 5 Series Chipset designed
for use with the ULV-based laptops supports multiple video
and audio options and Intel Anti-Theft Technology to protect
the computer from theft.
Intel said more than 40 designs are expected from computer
makers such as Acer, Asus, Lenovo and MSI, and will be offered
at a variety of price points beginning in June.
