Amimon ships more than half a Million
PC to TV connecting wireless ICs
Israel based Amimon has disclosed that it has shipped more
than half a million of its wireless ICs used for wirelessly
streaming media content from computers to TVs. Amimon says
it has been experiencing very strong and rapidly growing
demand for its wireless 1080p WHDI (Wireless Home Digital
Interface) wireless IC chipset. Amimon estimates the shipment
will cross 1 million by end of 2010. Amimon's wireless audio/video
ICs are used on modern consumer electronic devices to send
and receive high definition media content inside the home
across computers and home entertainment equipment such as
TVs.
Electronics devices using Amimon's wireless ICs includes
wireless HDTVs, PC-to-TV wireless adapters, video accessories
(dongles, HD video switches), medical device equipment,
and Pro-AV video cameras. Some of Amimon's customers include:
ASUS, Brite-View, Gefen, Haier, Hisense, IDX, LG, Mitsubishi,
Philips, Sharp, SONY, Stryker and Zinwell.

The bulk of Amimon's sales have been of its 2nd generation
chipset. Amimon's 2nd generation chipset is built to the

The Amimon WHDI wireless ICs can be embedded into CE devices
such as LCD and plasma HDTVs, multimedia projectors, A/V
receivers, Blu-ray DVD players, set-top boxes (STBs), game
consoles, computers, DVRs, PC-to-TV adapters and HD video
switches, allowing wireless streaming of uncompressed HD
video and audio.
