White Paper focuses on port selection, setup, and implications in EM simulators

A new white paper is now available from AWR: "A Plethora of Ports: Making Sense of the Different Types of Ports in EM Planar Simulators." This white paper discusses the different types of ports common to most - if not all - 3D planar electromagnetic tools on the market and the whens, whys, and hows of making the most appropriate decision and obtaining meaningful and useful results. For illustration purposes, AWR's own 3D planar electromagnetic simulator, AXIEM, is used in order to aid the readers' understanding.

This new "Plethora of Ports" white paper is complementary to AWR's earlier white paper, "Understanding Grounding Concepts in EM Simulators", in which the use of ground in EM simulators and how it relates to ground in circuit simulators is explored.
