ST's power ICs can be simulated on Cadence'
ORCAD Pspice
ST Microelectronics has developed a new evaluation platform
to simulate ST's power chips such as DC-DC converters and
ViPER monolithic ICs for SMPS design. Through this platform
designers can simulate ST's power ICs on Cadence' OrCAD
Pspice tool.
ST has already has a free tool called SMPS@eDesign Studio
to design and simulate switching power supplies. With this
new evaluation platform designs obtained via SMPS@eDesign
Studio can be accurately simulated within the Cadence OrCAD
platform using widely popular PSpice.
"OrCAD technology is a great way to enable our customers
to test drive ST's analog and power products," said
Carmelo Papa, Executive Vice President and General Manager,
Industrial and Multisegment Sector, STMicroelectronics.
"Evaluating our chips with the Cadence software will
strengthen our customers' confidence to have received the
highest quality ICs needed for their success."
