Camstar's ebook on applying its quality model for solar industry to achieve grid parity

Solar is growing fast but still costlier compared to grid power. Camstar, a software solutions provider for manufacturing industry has published a e-document for solar power companies to achieve grid parity by using its products and services. The eBook titled "Taking the Solar Industry Beyond Grid Parity." applies Camstar's Advancing Product Quality (APQ) model to the Solar industry. The eBook discusses how the infrastructure creates additional long-term value in the areas of global orchestration, greener manufacturing and lifecycle intelligence.

"To reduce cost per watt and reach grid parity, manufacturers essentially have two choices - make current operations significantly less expensive or bring new, lower cost technologies to market sooner," said Solar industry consultant, Jody Cowan. "The APQ model is revolutionary in that it provides manufacturers with a path for achieving both routes simultaneously."

"Camstar's eBook analyzes benchmarks from Solar and High Tech manufacturers that have adopted the APQ model, and conservatively applies them to the factors driving grid parity," said Karim Lokas, VP of Product Strategy for Camstar. "The analysis shows a shift down in the cost per kWh curve by 13-17%, putting some companies in the grid parity region today and shortening the time to achieve grid parity for the entire Solar industry."
Camstar's eBook, "Taking the Solar Industry Beyond Grid Parity", is available for download at www.camstar.com/solarebook.
