Nokia Siemens Networks expand its R&D
center in Bangalore, India
Nokia Siemens Networks has strengthened its R&D activities
in Bangalore by recently shifting to a new site which
was inaugurated by the Prime Minister of Finland.
Nokia Siemens Networks says that engineers at this new site
develop, test and deliver software to support telecoms networks.
The center also hosts experts in pre-sales, product management,
program management, and technical support, and process and
quality-assurance activities.
"For many years, our previous Bengaluru site fostered
expertise in various product areas and became a vital element
of our global R&D organization," said Johann Haslinger,
head of Nokia Siemens Networks Development Center Bengaluru.
"By moving to a larger, more modern facility, the center
will not only enhance our development efforts, but also
means product innovation in one area can be easily transferred
across our whole business".
Speaking at the occasion, Lauri Kivinen, head of Corporate
Affairs, Nokia Siemens Networks said, "India has witnessed
a remarkable journey and is today the world's fastest growing
wireless market. The new facility is in line with our commitment
to invest in India and brings us closer to our customers
in this region."
