Delta Networks taps Indian telecom and networking equipment market

While India is getting networked faster, there is severe shortage of local manufacturing facilities for this growing domain. Although there are quite good number of telecom equipment design companies, but they are having problems in manufacturing their products locally. Delta Networks, the networking ODM (Original Design Manufacturer) division of power supply expert Delta Electronics is tapping this opportunity by opening new networking business division in India. Delta India is offering design and manufacturing services to Indian networking companies.

Quenton Miao, Sales Director, OEM Business Development, Delta Networks said, Delta networks is one of the few to invest a full establishment to serve Indian customers.

Delta's expertise cover broad range of communication and wireless equipments including Ethernet/fiber switches, broadband products/CPEs (customer premise equipments) such as ADSL/VDSL, GPON, 3G, Wi-Fi, WiMAX and multimedia /IP-STB products

Sanjeev Bajaj, who now head the India business unit, says this is the right to time invest in Indian telecom market.

Delta has recently teamed up with Fujitsu in developing 802.16e compliant, Wave2 certifiable WiMAX subscriber station. Delta is also partnering with Solarflare to manufacture 10 Gigabit Ethernet.

Delta Networks with sales revenue in the range half billion US$ has 1 million square feet manufacturing facility. Its manufacturing facility is in China and Taiwan.
