MontaVista now supports 4G wireless networks
with OpenSAF capabilities
MontaVista has announced its support for 4G wireless
networks including LTE and WiMAX, with the OpenSAF capabilities.
The CGE 5.1 carrier grade Linux compliant with Carrier Grade
Linux, IPv6, and Linux standard base certifications.
MontaVista CGE 5.1 delivers secure, innovative products
at a low cost by providing the features and protocols required
for wireless networks like LTE and WiMAX, and enables virtual
routing and forwarding within Linux. The hardware consolidation,
which lowers costs for NEP's integrating open source middleware
solutions like OpenSAF consistent with service availability
forum specifications, speeding application development.
MontaVista Carrier Grade Edition adds 4Gsupport plus OpenSAF
capability in over 30 new Linux support packages and also
features a SCTP, IPSEC with IKEv2 protocols, required for
LTE and 4G wireless networks.
