Logic Devices is sampling its first DDR2 DRAM modules

Logic Devices has announced the commencement of sample shipments for its 16mm x 22mm - 208, DDR2 DRAM PBGA integrated modules (iMOD).

This ultra space saving footprint-offering 667Mbps at military temperature enables high performance design tasks even when board real-estate is at a premium. LOGIC Devices is now sampling both its 2.0Gb and 2.25Gb products, organized as 32M x 64 with shared control block [SCB], with dual control block [DCB] and x72 version.

Logic Devices' initial IMOD product members are targeted for Industrial, Embedded and Hi-Reliability markets with target applications including diagnostic imaging arrays, main-system (core) memory, high density - multi-port arrays, digital signal processor memory and high end data/video streaming servers. The DDR2 development effort includes additional densities in the 16mm x 22mm footprint, and multiple density/organizations in 25mm2-255 ball PBGA.
