Pace Embedded Systems Lab at R.V. College
of Engineering, Bangalore India
Pace India has set up a Pace Embedded Systems Lab at R.V.
College of Engineering on the 14th of October 2009. This
lab is to gain an in-depth understanding of Digital Television
and experience this cutting-edge technology first hand.
Chief Operating Officer of Pace plc, David McKinney, said
on the occasion, "We are setting up this lab with the
intention of giving back something to society. Our lab will
provide practical experience to nearly 500 engineering students
of this college. Furthermore, outstanding graduates who
build competence in Digital Television technology will be
given an opportunity to join the Pace family. To date, we
have hired 14 students from this prestigious college."
R. V. College of Engineering, Bangalore, is among the top-ten
private engineering colleges in India. Prof. K.N. Raja Rao,
principal of the college, added that "the purpose of
the collaboration between Pace India and our college is
to provide facilities for academic work in the field of
Digital Television; thereby enabling students to be ready
for the industry when they graduate. It also provides an
opportunity for joint research in this area."
