IR's radiation hardened DC-DC converter is used in Planck spacecraft

IR has announced that its high reliable ART2815T triple radiation hardened DC-DC converter was incorporated in Planck spacecraft's power electronics unit made by the UK-based SEA.

"Specifically developed for use in hostile radiation environments the ART2815T was selected by SEA for its 4KCDE drive due to its record of no in-flight failures and high performance and reliability. We are pleased to be designed in to such critical hardware on board a key European spacecraft," said Fred Farris, IR's vice president of sales and marketing, HiRel Business Unit.
