New AUTOSAR 3.0-compatible solution for
various hardware platforms
NEC Electronics and Vector jointly announced the availability
of a new AUTOSAR 3.0 compatible software package for various
hardware platforms. The package includes AUTOSAR basic software
and a comprehensive tool chain.

AUTOSAR basic software modules from Vector, including the
operating system, memory management and communication functions
for FlexRay systems, and CAN and LIN bus systems. Also provided
is, a tool-chain for application design, configuration,
and generation of AUTOSAR Software.
NEC Electronics supplies the specified AUTOSAR Microcontroller
Abstraction Layer (MCAL), which is completely optimized
on hardware and acts as an interface between the HW-independent
basic software and hardware.
"We are convinced that our collaboration enables us
to support our customers with innovative and efficient AUTOSAR
solutions today and in the future" said Hiroaki Kaneko,
general manager of the Automotive Systems Division, NEC
Electronics Corporation. "Our customer's satisfaction
is proof of our strategy to search for new and improved
features that speed up and simplify AUTOSAR integration".
