Cypress Semiconductor appoints Rajeev Mehtani as Senior VP of its India operations

PSoC innovator Cypress Semiconductor has appointed Mr. Rajeev Mehtani as Senior Vice President of India operations. He is given the responsibility of managing and growing India operations of Cypress Semiconductor.

Mr. Mehtani joins Cypress from NXP Semiconductors where he was the vice president and country manager for India. He previously held a wide variety of positions at NXP and Philips Semiconductors, including design engineering, corporate marketing and managing business units.

"I am truly excited to be a part of Cypress India," said Mr. Mehtani. "Cypress is unique in that we have much more than R & D in India. A significant portion of global business management, as well as corporate and strategic marketing operations are based in India, offering an opportunity to impact the strategic direction of the company. In addition, our broad programmable product offering is well positioned to serve the growing Indian product design market, and we look forward to intensifying our sales efforts in India".

"Rajeev brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience in all areas of development and business unit management," said Paul Keswick, executive vice president of New Product Development at Cypress. "India is extremely important to the future growth and success of Cypress, and we are excited to have attracted a top industry talent for this position."
