Technology backgrounder on 1394 automotive standard for in-vehicle communication

The automotive, mainly car is getting so much networked internally, it's comparable to our human nervous system. Fujitsu Microelectronics is very much in foreground in the field of in-vehicle and inter-vehicular communications/networks.

To update automotive electronics engineers on 1394 automotive network, Fujitsu Microelectronics has published a new technology backgrounder entitled "How the 1394 Automotive Network Simplifies Infotainment Delivery."

The new backgrounder describes the 1394 automotive standard, which provides the bandwidth, flexibility, cost-effectiveness, and technological features to satisfy requirements for infotainment networking. This backgrounder however focuses on Fujitsu's 1394 automotive controller MB88395, a single-chip controller IC that complies with IEEE-1394-2008.
