Intel Atom based mini desktop is
designed with PC chipset SiS672
One-year-old Taiwanese company Pegatron is soon going to
start volume production of its latest NetTop computer, another
name for a mini desktop. This Intel Atom based computer
has adopted SiS' PC chipset SiS672/968/307DV to bridge the
Atom processors to PC peripherals.
The Pegatron Atom NetTop platform is slim and nice looking
machine with well-designed physical shape and pleasing aesthetics.
It is designed to provide desktop computing plus quality
visual entertainment. This sleek system takes less space
on the work-desk measuring only 0.5L of the mini tower chassis.
The frequency of Wi-Fi wireless network options can reach
up to 2.4~2.5GHZ for remote access. This NetTop supports
different LCD monitor models available in the market.
Pegatron's NetTop supports the Intel Atom 230 CPU and DDR2-667
memory with memory size of up to 2GB. The graphic features
include support for 2D and 3D graphics and support for high
definition digital entertainment devices, such as DTV, VCD
and DVD can be presented under Windows operating system
with quality sound output.
When it comes power consumption, this mini desktop computer
consumes less than 22Watt and is fan-less. NetTop supports
high speed PCI Express x1 interface and also provides 2
Serial ATA2 ports for HDD and SSD devices. There are six
USB2.0 ports and DVI-type display connector for high quality
video output.
This system is designed for wide range of applications
such as general home market, financial, medical, education
and government markets.
