Freescale inaugurates a bigger facility at Noida

Freescale CEO and Chairman Michel Mayer has inaugurated 300,000 square foot research campus at Noida in Uttar Pradesh. Freescale has pumped in an investment 50 million USD last year to expand Indian operations. The total employees strength now in India is 900, 750 at Noida and the rest in Bangalore and other sales offices in India. Noida's research center is the largest design center outside US. Ganesh Guruswamy, country manager and director of Freescale India says "Freescale has made a long-term commitment to India."

Engineers at Freescale India are into development of System On Chip (SOC) Integration and Intellectual Property (IP) design, digital and mixed signal ICs, processor cores, and DSP based starcore technology.
