Bangalore's Ittiam Systems goes for Altera's Stratix II FPGA

Ittiam Systems, Bangalore based Digital Signal Processing (DSP) Intellectual Property (IP) developer selects Altera's Stratix II FPGA to develop multi-format high definition video decoder (MFVDEC) IP core.
If you are thinking hard to select a right FPGA for your video design, you may tilt towards Altera's Stratix II by reading into this. Sometimes it's very hard to select a right device when you come across best performing devices. Cost plays some little role in such cases. The xilinx, Altera and Lattice are offering very interesting products for the Indian market. All these three have good local support teams. For small and medium enterprises to decide on right FPGA, it's best to track the most popular product in the local market and also ensure the vendor won't obsolete the part for good time frame.
