Seiko Epson to manufacture mixed signal ICs For Maxim Integrated Products

Seiko Epson and Maxim Integrated Products have signed an agreement, under which Maxim's analog mixed signal ICs for Asia-Pacific and Japanese market will be manufactured by Seiko Epson facility in Sakata, Japan. Through this agreement both share each other's process technologies and use them in their new products. Epson 200mm fab in Sakata Japan is most automated in the world. Vijay Ullal of Maxim says, "It combines the best of our innovative mixed-signal design and process technologies with Epson's world-class semiconductor manufacturing expertise, ensuring a new level of quality and service to our Japanese and Asian Pacific customers".
For customer in Asia Pacific, this partnership will help in fast turn around time and better availability of most wanted Maxim's devices.
