VERTIGO: Research project for embedded
systems
A Joint research project named VERTIGO
(Verification and Validation of Embedded System Design Workbench)
is launched by Commission of European communities.
VERTIGO's objective is to develop configurable design platform
so that the hardware for a specific application is built by
configuring hardware blocks.
The process of hardware design will be simplified, speeded
up and some of the design software stumbling blocks will be
cleared through this project.
The development team behind this project consists of both
companies and universities. The companies involved are, ST
Microelectronics, Aerielogic, TransEDA systems. The university
members are, Linkopings of Sweden, Southampton of UK, Tallinn
of Estonia and Verona of Italy.
