Super Barrier Rectifier specialist APD Semiconductor is acquired by Diodes Inc.

Diodes Inc. has signed an agreement to acquire fabless discrete semiconductor manufacturer APD Semiconductor.
APD is specialized in making discrete semiconductor devices with patented and trademarked technology named Super Barrier Rectifier (SBR). This technology is based on low cost wafer process and use MOS cellular design to replace traditional Schottky or PN junction diodes.
Throgh SBR, key parameters of diodes can be set as per customer applications. One example part no. quoted in the news release was SBR20U100 which has lowest forward voltage and and highest effeciency in it's class.

So now all this is part of Diodes Inc. The combinational technology of these two will multiply the strengths of Diodes Inc.
