  Tensilica's audio DSP licensed by Fujitsu for consumer portables

Tensilica's Diamond Standard 330HiFi Audio Digital Signal Processor is licensed by Fujitsu Microelectronics Limited for use in a customer’s portable consumer electronics design.

“We selected Tensilica’s Diamond Standard 330HiFi Audio DSP for our customer’s portable consumer product,” stated Yoshio Kuniyasu, general manager of the IP Platform Solution Division at Fujitsu Microelectronics Limited. “Our customer realized that the Tensilica solution is one of the best for low power and had an extensive list of available software.”

The features of 330HiFi Audio DSP are,

1. It's a 32-bit RISC architecture with integrated 24-bit audio processing instructions including Variable     Length Decode (VLD)
2. Dual-issue VLIW DSP with 24-bit data path and instructions customized for audio codecs
3. Digital audio formats including MP-3, AAC, WMA, AC-3, MIDI are pre-ported
4. Modeless switching between 16-, 24-, and 64-bit dual-issue instructions
5. Dual MACs can operate as 32X16-bit/24X24-bit
6. 4 Kbyte Instruction and 8 Kbyte data 2-way set associative caches, programmable write-through or     write-back
7. 32-bit input/output FIFO interfaces
8. 64/32-bit system interface with AHB-lite bridge
