Two new customers to ARM's AMBA technology

Broadcom and Toshiba have licensed AMBA design environment to use ARM's PrimeCell IP in their products.
Broadcom has licensed this technology to use in their next generation on chip bus development for mobile and wireless platform. Toshiba too will use this technology in their SOC designs

What is AMBA designer?

This is a design platform used in System On Chip (SOC) designs to implement peripheral and interconnect IP around the processor seamlessly with easy Graphic User Interface. Otherwise it's simple cut and paste method to pack IPs into the chip design.

The IPs supported under the Primecell name are,

PL301 AXI Configurable Interconnect
PL340 AXI Dynamic Memory Controller
PL350 AXI Static Memory Controller

The processor industry is just getting better with ARM's AMBA.
