Realtek displays wireless audio-video
reference design at CES
Realtek Semiconductor has showcased its wireless audio/video
reference designs at CES 2009. Solutions built based on
Wireless AV reference designs stream up to 720p video and
high quality audio from PC to TV over a range of 30 feet.
For audiophiles, the wireless audio-video receiver provides
enough bandwidth to accommodate 7.1 surround sound, and
the streamlined installation procedure preserves critical
ease of use.
With a flexible menu of input-output options, the reference
designs supports both VGA and HDMI video output, while the
audio options are Line out, TOSLINK, and Audio via HDMI.
"Wireless AV is generating significant attention from
many OEMs and other key players in the wireless ecosystem
as a highly promising, premium application," said Batuhan
Okur, vice-president of marketing at Realtek. "With
its unique combination of ultra-high bandwidth and ease-of-use
and setup, Wireless USB truly excels in this application
space".
