Cypress granted with 750 patents related to programmable logic

Cypress Semiconductor has recently been granted its 750th patent relating to its programmable solutions portfolio with more on their PSoC (Programmable System on Chip) brand.

In total, Cypress has been granted over 1650 patents. In addition to the granted patents, Cypress currently has over 1100 patents pending, including over 300 applications related to programmable technology.

Semiconductor companies in US are patent kings, if the company is not in bracket of >500 patents but the revenues are >1 billion, then there is no wrong in labeling such company as commodity semiconductor company rather than technology company.
