Low dropout regulators (LDOs) are preferred over switching regulators to power noise sensitive electronics circuits. 1. LDK220 is a low drop voltage regulator from STMicroelectronics delivering maximum output current of 200 mA from input voltage range of 2.5 V to 13.2 V. STMicroelectronics can customise output voltage in the range of 1.2 V to 12 V with 100mV step and also it can be adjustable based on the customer request. With a drop out voltage of 100 mV, this device features low quiescent current of 55 A and 1 A in off mode. 2. NCP730 LDO Regulator from ON Semi.
This LDO from On Semiconductor features very wide input voltage of 2.7 V to 38 V and fixed output voltage of 1.2 V to 24 V at very low quiescent current of 1 A. It can deliver the output voltage of 1.2 V to 37 V in adjustable mode. NCP730 can source a current of 200 mA at the voltage drop out of 290 mV. The other key functions and features in this device include power good output, stability with 1 F ceramic capacitor, built-in soft start, and overcurrent and thermal shutdown protection. This suggested applications include battery power tools and equipments, smart home, utility metering, remote control devices, and consumer white goods.

3. Diodes new LDO AP7387 can work from input voltage range of 5V - 60V, and deliver output current of 150 mA with 3.0V, 3.3V, 3.6V, and 5V fixed output voltage versions. AP7387 is suitable for cordless vacuum cleaners, smoke detectors, power tools, electric vehicle battery management systems, and various other home appliances applications. Rated to draw a quiescent current of 2A, AP7387 series comes with high power supply rejection ratio (PSRR) of 70dB at 1kHz, plus a fast line/load transient response.

Available in SOT23, SOT25, SOT89, and U-DFN2020-6 packages, this device offers current limit, short-circuit and thermal shutdown protection.
