LED Flicker mitigating new 2 MP CMOS image sensor for automotive

Toshiba has developed LED Flicker mitigating new 2-megapixel (MP) CMOS image sensor for automotive cameras. The CSA02M00PB is expected to be available in Sample shipments from March, 2016. The new 2MP sensor minimizes image flicker caused by LED light sources and enhance accuracy of image sensing.

The sensor supports HDR (High Dynamic Range) system and BSI process to capture brighter pictures with higher image quality in low light conditions.

Automotive Safety Integrity Level (ASIL) requirements meeting new sensor is also compliant with AEC-Q100 (Grade 2) and is suggested for front end sensing cameras for the Advanced Driving Assistance System (ADAS) and the latest viewing applications, such as e-Mirror and CMS (Camera Monitor System).
