Compact UHF transceiver from SATEL Oy meets present days stds.

The small radio data transceiver module "Satelline TR4" from Finnish manufacturer SATEL Oy offers transmitting power of 1,000 mW and is compatible with the protocols of Pacific Crest, Trimble and Satel.

TR4 is suggested as ideal for integration in end devices that are intended for international use. With a weight of 18 g, and an "over the air" data transmission rate of 38,400 bps designed to fulfils all present-day standards.

SATEL Oy claims this transceiver module is the smallest UHF transceiver in its class, with dimensions of 56 mm x 36 mm x 6 mm.

TR4 offers advantages of the popular Satelline EASy and 3AS modems such as channel scanning, error correction and compatibility with the protocols of Pacific Crest, Trimble and, Satel.

"Since license-free frequencies are becoming more popular, such as 869 MHz in Europe and 915 MHz for the American market, transceiver modules of identical design will follow. The identical footprint and the standardised communication commands will minimise integration costs. Later it will only be necessary to insert the corresponding radio module for the destination and the end device will be ready to use", explains SATEL Oy.
