GCT's advanced LTE Chip powers new Modacom 4G Router in Japan

GCT Semiconductor's advanced LTE chip GDM7243M powers the new 4G LTEhome router, the URoad-Home 2+, developed by Modacom and is recently launched by UQ Communications (UQ) in Japan.

4G LTEhome router supports 110 Mbps downlink due to GDM7243M support for Category 4 FDD/TDD-LTE and was fully certified by KDDI in July 2014.

“We’re excited to be part of another successful UQ product launch and to be working closely again with Modacom,” says Alex Sum, vice president of sales and marketing at GCT Semiconductor, Inc. “Our cutting edge multi-mode LTE solution, GDM7243M, continues to enable commercial devices that offer high performance with high speeds, supporting FDD and TDD LTE. Moving forward, GCT continues to take advantage of the growing LTE market opportunities, and is also focusing on offering low-power, low-cost LTE chips for the Internet of Things (IoT) market.”
