28nm FPGAs supported by Barco Silex's
JPEG 2000 IP
Barco Silex has announced the support of its advanced
JPEG 2000 IP cores on all FPGA devices made using 28nm chip
fabrication process.
"We are pleased to move forward with the new generation
of FPGAs." said Thierry Pauwels, marketing & sales
support for IP business at Barco Silex. "Barco Silex
is a long-time partner of both major FPGA vendors. As such,
we are committed to support their latest devices as soon
as they deliver."
The JPEG 2000 IP cores from Barco Silex are available in
all 28nm FPGAs such as Altera Stratix-V, Xilinx Virtex-7,
Altera Arria-V, Cyclone-V, Xilinx Kintex-7 and Artix-7.
"We are committed to long term support", commented
Jean-Marie Cloquet, product manager at Barco Silex. "The
implementation on 28nm FPGAs is the natural continuity for
our flexible JPEG 2000 IP cores. These new devices will
allow to further push the limit of performances for high-end
applications and to reduce the cost for low-end and mid-end
products. Moreover they will improve the power consumption
which is always critical."
Barco Silex's JPEG 2000 provides solutions on FGPA for
broadcast and digital cinema applications.
