Intersil's high speed, dual channel 6A MOSFET driver

Intersil Corporation has introduced the ISL89367, dual channel 6A MOSFET driver able to drive two outputs each with 6A of peak drive current and this unique part provides designers with an integrated solution for high speed driving of large, high current MOSFETs, suitable for applications such as switching power supplies, motor drivers and Class-D amplifiers.

Intersil explains that the ISL89367's precision logic thresholds simplify the design of synchronous rectification on the secondary side of the transformer for isolated applications and internal timers can be programmed to provide up to 270ns of drive delay, which prevents shoot-through current between MOSFETs, and allow optimization for maximum efficiency and reduced electromagnetic interference.

Key features of ISL89367 includes:
Industry's fastest 6A MOSFET driver
25ns propagation delay
20ns rise and fall times
Wide 4.5V to 16V operation
Accurate programmable delay times
Unique precision logic input thresholds (+/-3.75%)
Typical ON-resistance of only 1 Ohm
'Miller plateau' drive current of 5A

Available: Now
Price: $4.00 each in 1K-units
Package: 3mm x 5mm, 16-pin TDFN package
