Multi-Channel analyzer for 802.15.4/ZigBee and profiles for SubGHz networks

Perytons Ltd has released the Peryton-SGMx product line supporting simultaneous captures from ZigBee and generic IEEE 802.15.4 and SubGhz assigned channels.

Features and benefits of this product line include:
1.Both ZigBee and the IEEE 802.15.4 standard identifies 27 channels spread across three different frequency bands - 16 channels in the 2.4GHz band and 11 channels in the SubGHz band (1 channel in 868.3 MHz and 10 x channels within 902 - 928 MHz band).

2.The 2.4GHz band, the IEEE802.15.4 in the SubGHz bands involves different modulation types and data rates, which are divided within pages.

3.The Perytons Analyzer models for SubGHz (Peryton-SG for analysis of a single channel and the new Peryton-SGMx for simultaneous capture of multiple channels) include the required UI that allows the user to choose between the different pages of the SubGHz band. These 'Pages' define the different modulation type, coding, spreading and symbol/bit rate.

4.The Perytons Analyzers SubGHZ analyzers family is based on the same engine as the existing models for the 2.4GHz band and includes analysis capabilities for a large number of protocols and profiles like:IEEE 802.15.4/ZigBee, ZigBee Smart Energy, ZigBee Home Automation, ZigBee Health Care, ZigBee Telecom Services, ZigBee Input Device and more.

5.Additionally and as part of the continuous follow-up of the new specifications for and standard, the Perytons Analyzers will be capable of supporting future standards developed by the ZigBee Alliance

The Peryton-SDK Add-On can be used to easily customize proprietary protocols over the 802.15.4 or ZigBee layers. Adding proprietary protocols to the Perytons Analyzer environment creates a common, integrated, and feature-rich custom analysis tool.

"Along with the successful implementation of ZigBee and its standards worldwide, the need for using both the 2.4GHz and SubGHz ISM bands is eminent and so is the demand for a professional tool that will allow to shorten the time to market of the product, module and/or network deployment" said Rubi Elbirt - VP Business Development and International Sales of Perytons. "The Peryton-SGMx multi-channel model with simultaneous channels data capture capabilities complements the single channel Peryton-SG. Along with the constant increase of supported front-end vendors that we use for data capture and the steady addition of protocols and profile updates into the Perytons Analyzers portfolio, we deliver a yet more complete solution to the market" Rubi added.

"As more manufacturers find unique ways to use ZigBee standards, they'll need testing tools as a product development aid," said Benno Ritter, vice president of marketing and business development for the ZigBee Alliance. "Perytons SGMx can help product manufacturers developing products using ZigBee standards gain valuable insight into their ZigBee network operations and performance".
