Actions Semiconductor has expanded its product offering with the introduction of new series 28, a 1080P (1920*1080 pixel) video engine with built-in HDMI Transmitter (HDMI Tx) . Series 28 allows the user to enjoy a variety of high definition content on the portable device or through television. Series 28 can perform interactive animation such as background wall paper that an Android operating system offers. Additionally, more flash games can be enjoyed in Series 28 platform. Series 28 feature 32-bit central processing unit (CPU), simulated 3D graphic processing unit (GPU) and 720P digital video (DV) recording functions.

"Our goal is always to provide a powerful platform with differentiated features and cost-competitive total solution," stated Mr. Niccolo Chen, CEO of Actions Semiconductor. "With the triple core architecture and the friendly software development kit, our customers can easily configure the Series 28 platform as a PMP, a Game console or a multimedia DV. In addition to the built in power management unit (PMU) and HDMI Tx, the Series 28 product family also supports DDR2 memory and the latest TLC NAND Flash under 40-bit ECC architecture to achieve the best cost structure at the system level. With all the advantages, Series 28 has captured interest from both China-based and International customers."
