NetLogic supports Windows Embedded 7 for its embedded processors

NetLogic Microsystems Inc. is now supporting the newly released Microsoft Windows Embedded Compact 7 operating system for NetLogic's Alchemy family of ultra low-power embedded processors.

"LG Electronics Car Infotainment Division is very pleased to work with NetLogic Microsystems' Alchemy Au1300 processor family in our leading automotive infotainment products," said June Kim, general manager and vice president of LG Electronics Car Infotainment Division. "The Alchemy Au1300 family really delivers an excellent Windows Embedded Compact 7 experience. Our developers can quickly create an advanced product using a familiar, streamlined development environment on a powerful, ultra-low power processor solution."

NetLogic Microsystems says the industry-standard Visual Studio tools, together with a powerful MIPS processor architecture, facilitate quick creation of the next generation of small, powerful, connected devices in the embedded, automotive infotainment and navigation markets.

"NetLogic Microsystems is very excited to deliver our Windows Embedded Compact 7 solution practically simultaneously with Microsoft's announcement," said Mike Wodopian, vice president of marketing for the Alchemy processor family at NetLogic Microsystems. "Our ability to produce this timely release demonstrates the robustness and compatibility of the Alchemy family on a popular operating system."
