Intel Atom based 3.5-inch embedded Board
from Axiomtek
Axiomtek has announced CAPA801, a new 3.5-inch embedded
board powered by Intel Atom processor D525 dual core 1.8GHz,
D425 single core 1.8GHz, and N455 single core 1.66GHz. The
low power CAPA801 has a 204-pin DDR3 667/800MHz SO-DIMM
max up to 4GB capacity. Dual displays are supported by an
18-bit single channel LVDS port and VGA port.
The I/O features include six USB 2.0 ports, four COM ports,
PCI Express Mini card, two Gigabit Ethernet, and HD audio.
Operating from a +12V DC power this embedded board is designed
for in-vehicle infotainment, industrial control, automation,
gaming, medical devices, self-serve terminal, digital signage,
fanless devices.
"Axiomtek's latest CAPA801 3.5-inch embedded board
with the new Intel Atom processor D425/N455/D525 and Intel
ICH8M I/O controller hub is an dream low-power and cost-effective
embedded solution for industrial applications," said
Michelle Mi, Product Manager of Embedded Board and Technology
Business Unit at Axiomtek. "Integrated Intel Graphics
Media Accelerator 3150 supports LVDS and VGA in dual display
types. Measuring 146 x 104 mm, the CAPA801 offers complete
I/O functions and great expansions. Low-power consumption,
compact size and integrated graphics make this platform
well suited for many space-limited and thermally constrained
embedded applications." Moreover, with ECX stacking
module AX95601, the CAPA801 can expand the application for
24 bit dual channel LVDS panels (resolution 1920 x 1080).
For the storage effort, the CAPA801 supports two SATA-300
ports and a CompactFlash slot. Networking is provided by
one Intel 82583V Gigabit LAN and one Intel 82567V Gigabit
LAN.
This embedded single board computer supports Windows 7,
Windows Vista, Windows XP embedded, and Linux.
