Low G-sensitivity clocks and oscillators
from Vectron for millitary, industrial and harsh environment
apps
Vectron International has unveiled the new 508-series of
small, low G-sensitivity clocks and oscillators. The 508
series products include a 4-point mount crystal, suited
for low G-sensitivity military, industrial and other harsh
environment applications. The new devices are reported to
acheive high noise performance in an extremely small 9x14
package.
Just as the proliferation of mobile and handheld devices
are driving consumers' increased data usage, the military
is also increasing its data consumption while requiring
smaller, more portable equipment. Higher mobile data consumption
escalates phase noise requirements and design engineers
cannot afford to sacrifice performance or reliability for
size. Vectron's 508-series incorporates its leading low-jitter
clocks into the industry's smallest low G-sensitivity package,
quotes Vectron.
"Our military and aerospace customers have been searching
for a solution to their need for high-reliability, high
performance clocks and oscillators in the small package
required for portable applications," said Greg Smolka,
vice president, Industrial, Military and Space, Vectron
International. "In addition, by building XO, VCXO and
TCXO options into the same platform, the rigorous military
qualification testing process can be simplified, leading
to time and cost savings for our customers."
The product line includes an XO, VCXO and TCXO, to meet
the specific oscillator requirements of each design.
PX-508, a low G-Sensitivity XO with a stability range of
± 40 ppm [-55..+105°C] to ± 15 ppm [-20..+70°C]
VX-508, a low G-Sensitivity VCXO with a stability range
of ± 40 ppm [-55..+105°C] to ± 15 ppm
[-20..+70°C]
TX-508, a low G-Sensitivity TCXO with a stability range
of ± 40 ppm [-55..+105°C] to ± 15 ppm
[-20..+70°C]
