4bit and 8bit voltage translators with automatic detection

Fairchild Semiconductor has released voltage translator devices FXLA104 (4-bit) and FXLA108 (8-bit) for portable electronic products such as cell phones and notebook computers. These are configurable dual-voltage supply translator for both uni-directional and bi-directional voltage translation between two logic levels covering broad voltage levels of 1.2V, 1.5V, 1.8V, 2.5V, and 3.3V.

The key features of these voltage translator ICs are,

1. Have a capacitance of less than 10pf
2. Feature built-in automatic direction control sense to control the data-direction
3. Bi-Directional Interface between Two Levels: from 1.1V to 3.6V
4. Bus-hold on data inputs eliminates the need for pull-up resistors

Operating Temp Range: -40°C to 85°C
Package: FXLA104: 1.8mm x 2.6mm UMLP package
                   FXLA108: 4.5mm x 2.5mm DQFN package

Price: FXLA104: Each US$ 0.60 for 1K pieces
            FXLA108: Each US$ 0.85 for 1K pieces

Availability: Now in samples
Delivery: 8 weeks ARO
