Hall sensors to detect 3 dimensional motions of 0 to 360 degrees

Micronas has released HAL 3625, the first member of its new HAL 36xy family of Hall-effect sensor integrated with vertical Hall elements. By using this sensor device the movement or rotation can be detected in all three dimensions (X, Y, Z axis) with rotational angle covering 0 to 360 Degrees with less measuring efforts.

This sensor manufactured using semiconductor CMOS process is rugged enough for automotive applications and also can be used in home appliances.
Automotive: Valve control, Throttle Position Switch (TPS), exhaust gas re-circulation (EGR), turbochargers, steering angles
Home appliances: Selector switches and for out of balance detection in home appliances

HAL3625 has built-in signal processor and can withstand high ambient temperatures.

Package: SOIC8, also available in silicon die form.
Operating Temperature Range: -40 to 170 Deg C
Price: Each in the range of 1.5 Euros to 2 Euros for 100 K pieces
