Current sensors for smart phones and netbooks

Yageo has launched a new PT low TCR current sensor series with precision temperature coefficient and increased current sensing stability for high-end mobile phones and portable computers.

These current sensor available in surface mount sizes 0402/0603/0805/1206/2010/2512 offer temperature coefficient of resistance (TCR) of 75ppm/°C and low resistance level of 100 ohms.

Mr. Vincent Hu, President of Yageo Global Sales Business Group, said "The launch of mini laptops has further obscured the lines dividing portable devices and notebook computers. To enable these compact gadgets to provide integrated functions, product design engineers must overcome the challenges of managing temperature and power in a very limited space. Yageo's PT current sensor series offer not only the standard specifications for mobile phone in the market, but also significantly enhanced resistance accuracy particularly suited for use in mini portable electronic equipments. We look forward to making further leeway in resister specialty markets with the new PT current sensor series."
