 Altera's new Stratix IV GX FPGA member EP4SGX530 with 48 transceivers at 8.5 Gbps

Altera's new Stratix IV GX FPGA member EP4SGX530 has record number of transceivers with up to 48 transceivers working up to the speeds of 8.5 Gbps. This is the second member of the Altera Stratix IV GX FPGA family with 530 thousand logic elements (LEs), 20.3 Mbits of RAM and 1,040 embedded multipliers. This product is targeted at applications in the communications, broadcast, test, medical and military markets.

The Stratix IV GX EP4SGX530 and EP4SGX230 devices are currently shipping, with other family members scheduled to ship in 2009.
