Voltage protection device family
for data communication lines
Littelfuse announced an expansion to the SP03-x overvoltage
suppression device series, designed for low distortion overvoltage
protection of data lines and interface circuits in Ethernet,
T3/E3, DS3, ADSL2+, and VDSL2+ systems.
1. Offers a multi-element design that lowers capacitive
losses compared to TVS devices alone.
2. The SP03-x series combine a transient voltage suppression
device with a diode rectifier bridge to provide
both longitudinal (common mode) and differential protection
in one package, suppressing both
positive and negative voltage surges.
3. This design results in low insertion loss and a log-linear
capacitive loading characteristic with respect
to the signal voltage across the device. The result is reduced
inter-modulation.
4. A low clamping voltage for both common mode and differential
surge conditions means there is less stress
on the protected equipment, and more robust equipment equates
to longer life.
5. The SP03-3.3BTG is RoHS compliant,
6. Input capacitance at 1MHz is typically 16pF (25pF max.),
resulting in low attenuation and better line balance
for high-speed data.
7. The SP03-3.3BTG has a reverse standoff voltage of 3.3V,
and clamps surges to 11.5V under 50A surge
current conditions (15V at 100A surge).
8. Peak surge rating of 150A or 3300W (8/20µs waveform)
9. The SP03-3.3BTG meets the requirements of the following
standards:
1. Telcordia GR1089 (Intra-Building): 100A, 2/10µs
waveform
2. ITU K.20: Ipp = 40A, 5/310µs waveform
3. IEC 61000-4-2 (ESD): 30kV (air), 30kV (contact)
4. IEC 61000-4-5 (Lightning): 100A, 8/20µs waveform
Availability:
1. OEM samples are available from stock.
2. Tape and reel orders typically ship 8-10 weeks ARO, and
come in reel pack quantities of 2500
Package: The SP03-3.3BTG is available in SO-8 (MS 012)
Surface Mount Packaging
