1W surface-mount current sensing resistor with high-temperature range

Vishay Intertechnology, introduced a high-temperature 1-W surface-mount Power Metal Strip resistor, WSLT2010...18. This new current sensing resistor can operate over a temperature range of -65 °C to +275 °C.

The high-temperature capability and high power ratings of the WSLT2010...18 allow it to be used for current sensing and pulse applications in harsh, high-temperature environments without sacrificing power rating or electrical performance.

The range of systems into which the WSLT2010...18 will be designed includes automotive engine and transmission controls, audio electronics, climate controls, and anti-lock brakes; and industrial oil/gas well drilling, including down hole test/measurement equipment.

1. Very low 10-mO to 500-mO resistance value range
2. A tight tolerance down to ±0.5 %,
3. Low TCR values down to ±75 ppm/°C
4. 2010 package
5. Offers very low inductance values
6. Frequency response to 50 MHz
7. Low thermal EMF of less than 3 µV/°C

Availability: Samples and production quantities of the new resistor are available now,
with a lead time of four to six weeks for larger orders.
