NEW dual VCXO
and high frequency TCXO from Vectron
Vectron International has launched three new FR4-based
frequency control products. They are,
1. The VX-501 dual voltage controlled crystal oscillator
(VCXO) with tight phase noise available in a 9x14
mm package.
2. FX-701 frequency translator in small package.
3. TX-702 high frequency Stratum 3 temperature controlled
crystal oscillator (TCXO) in a 5x7 mm package.
The new VX-501 dual VCXO has two independent, selectable
output frequencies from 20 to 700 MHz and the tightest phase
noise available of any miniature, 9x14 mm VCXO on the market
today. A complete solution, this product allows wireless
designers to manufacture the board with one common BOM for
all frequency bands, reducing the overall design complexity.
The customer can design a base station for different frequency
bands and select the frequency by software. In emerging
wireless applications, sampling rates are increasing for
wider bandwidths; therefore a clean reference clock with
good phase noise is needed. The output signal is LVPECL
and the supply voltage is 3.3 V. Typical phase noise is
-90 dBc/Hz @ 100 Hz.
Vectron's FX-701 has input frequencies from 2 to 65 MHz
and can be converted into output frequencies in the range
of 10 to 185 MHz. Designed in a 5 x 7 mm package, the FX-701
saves space and reduces complexity, allowing customers to
further miniaturize their systems. The new frequency translator
offers the best phase noise performance at this size. Typical
phase noise is -103 dBc/Hz @ 100 Hz. The output signal supported
is LVCMOS and the supply voltage is 3.3 V.
Vectron's TX-702 high frequency TCXO operates at the highest
frequencies available in a 5x7 mm package, up to 800 MHz
with a stability of +/-280 ppb from -40 to 85 degrees Celsius.
It meets Stratum 3 requirements for stability in wireline
applications (GR-1244). The TX-702 features low jitter,
0.56 ps RMS (12 kHz to 20 MHz) at 622.08 MHz, has output
signals LVPECL and LVDS, and the supply voltage is 3.3 V.
