IR's 25W to 500W Class D audio power amplifier reference design

International Rectifier introduced IRAUDAMP7 reference design for Class D audio amplifiers for applications including home theater systems, musical instruments and car entertainment.
With a power range from 25W to 500W, the IRAUDAMP7 offers a high degree of scalability within minutes simply by changing some of the components required on a single layer PCB.

The two parts available in this series are IRAUDAMP7D & IRAUDAMP7S

Some of the key features include,

1. The IRAUDAMP7D features IRS2092 digital audio driver IC in a DIP16 package together with      through-hole components.
2. The IRAUDAMP7S features IRS2092S in an SOIC package with surface-mount components.
3. Both reference designs are paired with the IRFI4019H-117P digital audio dual MOSFET to further     enhance scalability.
4. Over-current protection, over-voltage protection, under-voltage protection, DC-protection, and        over      temperature protection.
5. Housekeeping functions include a +/- 5V supply for analog signal processing for the preamplifier      and a +12V supply (Vcc) referenced to -B for the Class D gate driver stage.
6. Nominal Supply Voltage of +/- 50V

Rated output power:

Half Bridge (8 Ohms) ---- 125W x 2
Half Bridge (4 Ohms) ---- 250W x 2
Full Bridge (8 Ohms) ---- 500W x 2

Pricing: US $199 each and is subject to change.
