New series of aluminum solid capacitor with conductive polymer from Vishay

Vishay has introduced the 94SVPD, a new series of aluminum solid capacitor that featuring conductive polymer technology and offers high ripple currents, high voltages, and high-temperature performance in five case sizes. The 94SVPD device is suitable for smoothing, filtering, buffering, and voltage decoupling applications in vehicle-mounted engine control, power management, and conversion equipment, SMPS, measurement and control, automation systems in industrial equipment, and telecom systems.

Vishay says, when compared to similar conductive polymer capacitors, the 94SVPD series offers an improved maximum temperature rating of +125 °C and higher voltage ratings to 35 V. Additional features include a high rated ripple current to 3.8 A at 100 kHz and +105 °C, and low ESR down to 28 mOhm at 100 kHz.

The devices offer an improved damp heat (steady state) performance at +85 °C, 85 % to 90 % RH for 1000 hours at rated voltage. The RoHS-compliant capacitors can support lead (Pb)-free reflow soldering.
