Compact embedded box IPC for embedded
computer apps
Advantech has introduced the ARK-3202, a new fanless, compact,
embedded Box IPC that offers an energy efficient solution
for embedded computer applications.
The ARK-3202 is a I/O Box IPC with fanless form factor,
and is powered by the Intel ATOM processor. The ARK-3202
inherits the rugged chassis design from the ARK-3400 series,
but with additional I/O interfaces, including DVI and VGA
dual displays, mic in, line out, dual Giga LAN, optional
8-bit DIO, five USB 2.0, GPS on-board, and up to six serial
ports with RS-422/485 auto flow control.
ARK-3202 offers low power consumption and flexibility,
especially in the I/O interfaces, which makes it high adaptable
to different applications including digital signage, factory
automation, and general purpose controller. Hardware auto
flow control on serial ports enables the ARK-3202 to be
applied in most equipment control scenarios.
ARK-3202 offers a range of MiniPCIe interface communication
modules, including WLAN and HSDPA, for wireless in-vehicle
applications. ARK-3202 supports a Mini PCIe 802.11 b/g/n
wireless module with 5dB antenna. In addition, ARK-3202
has on-board GPS, for in-vehicle applications. ARK-3202
is compatible with a Sierra 3.5G HSDPA modem (Siemens HC25),
and WiFi/HSDPA and GPS are mutually compatible.
ARK-3202 can run Windows XP embedded, or Linux, and will
phase in at the end of November.
