NEC's new 32-bit Microcontrollers for Inverter and motor Control applications

NEC has made available a new set of 32-bit microcontrollers for inverter and motor control applications. The specialty of this family is, they feature enhanced inverter timer (2 units x 6 PWM outputs per unit) to enable higher PWM drive frequencies and higher inverter/motor control loop frequencies.

Technical enhancements in this new launch include increased operating speed of 100 MHz and higher flash memory size 480 KB. The other notable added on-chip functions include USB interface, 20 ADCs, operational amplifiers (op-amps) and comparators.

These microcontrollers are suitable for air conditioners, washing machines, dryers, factory automation (FA) equipment, and photovoltaic power systems.
