105 °C withstanding radial aluminum capacitors from Vishay for portable electronics

Vishay has released a new 142 RHS series of radial aluminum capacitors up to capacitance range of 22,000 µF, 3100mA high ripple currents, and high-temperature operation up to +105 °C. As a polarized aluminum electrolytic capacitor with a non-solid electrolyte and radial leads, the 142 RHS series device's are suitable for smoothing, filtering, buffering, and voltage decoupling applications in SMPS and dc-to-dc power supplies for industrial and telecom systems, domestic appliances, and portable and mobile electronics.

The key features of the 142 RHS series is,

Polarized aluminum electrolytic capacitors, non-solid electrolyte
Capacitance range from 1 µF to 22,000 µF over a voltage range of 10 V to 450 V
Radial leads, cylindrical aluminum case, insulated with a blue sleeve
Pressure relief for case Ø D = 6.3 mm
Charge and discharge proof
Miniaturized, high CV-product per unit volume
Offer a long useful life of 2500 hours at +105 °C
Compliant to RoHS directive 2002/95/EC

The 142 RHS series devices are available in 15 case sizes, ranging from 5 mm x 11 mm to 18 mm x 40 mm, and their enhanced maximum temperature rating of 105 °C allows operation at high temperatures or extends component life compared to standard 85 °C series.
