New multilayer ceramic chip antennas from Vishay for portable consumer electronics

Vishay has released the multilayer ceramic chip antennas that cover the UHF band from 470 MHz to 860 MHz for mobile devices, designed for mobile UHF TV receivers, including DVB-T, DVB-H, ISDB-T, and MediaFLO devices, where they eliminate the need for large external antennas in portable consumer electronics such as mobile phones, multimedia devices, and notebook computers.

Vishay's new Vitramon chip antennas comply with the MBRAI standard while maintaining small outlines of 35 mm by 5 mm by 1.2 mm for the VJ 3505, and 10.5 mm by 15.5 mm by 1.2 mm for the VJ 6040.

The VJ 3505 and VJ 6040 feature a 50-O unbalanced interface, omni- directional with linear polarization, and designed to assemble onto a PC board in the reflow process, and RoHS compliant.

Operating temperature range: - 40 °C to + 85 °C
