New NXC2620 Embedded DVK4.0 development kit from IC Nexus

IC Nexus has introduced the NXC2620 Embedded DVK4.0, a development kit with a 4.3-inch TFT color LCD module at 480×272 resolutions and 4-wire resistive touch screen. Embedded system developers can use this kit for developing general embedded applications such as navigation devices, home automation, and data acquisition.

The Embedded DVK4.0 has NXC2620 CPU card, baseboard, USB1.1 hub card and a TFT color LCD display, and each Embedded DVK4.0 is pre-installed with either Windows CE 6.0 or Linux 2.6 embedded software for instant evaluation.

The NXC2620 CPU card is designed to plug into a carrier board that contains all the connectors and any custom I/O required for general embedded applications. The NXC2620-PB32-BDA is the standard carrier board to realize the I/O interfaces from NXC2620 CPU card.

The NXC2620 is a 32-bit RISC processor running at 336 MHz coupled with 128 MB SDRAM, 1 Gbit NAND flash. Available as 200 pin SODIMM, it is compact enough for systems that require small form factor with native support for 24-bit RGB565 compatible LCD with USB 1.1 host/slave, RS232, Ethernet, SDHC/MMC, AC97 and more. Two types of CPU cards are available, the PB260A card is with a NXC2620 CPU, and the PB502A card is with a NXC2620 CPU and a GPU for high-resolution video display (up to 1280×1024).
